An Elvis Sighting
Written by lionmom on November 3, 2008 – 3:31 am -Yes, I had an Elvis sighting! Sometime last February I traveled to Florida on vacation. Both ways on the flight, we passed through Memphis. Unfortunately, we did not get to spend any time there, other than to browse the shops in the airport. And a rather nice airport it was. The shops had a heavy emphasis on music, rock and roll, and country music. A restarant we had breakfast in had all kinds of music memorabilia, and gold records from various artists. Leaving the restaurant and on the way to finding a newspaper stand — There it was – Elvis in a store window! The invisible ghost of Elvis had one of the most decked out costumes you can imagine — lots of glitz – guitar in hand (uh whisp) — music... more
